At 12:30pm this afternoon the Coffey County Sheriff’s Department SRO notified administration of law enforcement activity near Southern Coffey County Middle School and High School. In an abundance of caution, the middle and high school buildings were placed in a brief 15-minute shelter-in-place. We have been notified that no threat exists and the shelter-in-place has been lifted. Please contact the district administration if there are any questions. Thank you!
