📱💙💛 New Student Cell Phone & Digital Communication Guidelines for the 2026–2027 School Year 💛💙📱

At USD 245 Southern Coffey County Schools, our mission is to provide a safe, focused, and engaging learning environment for every student. Beginning this school year, we will implement new procedures in accordance with Kansas Law HB2299 regarding student cell phones and personal electronic communication devices.

📵 What this means:
• Personal electronic devices must be secured in student lockers from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
• Devices will be returned to students at the end of the school day.
• Parents who need to contact their child during the school day should call the school office at 620-964-2217, and we will ensure your message is delivered promptly.
• Students who need to contact a parent or guardian may visit the office for assistance at any time.

💬 Safe & Appropriate Communication
Student and staff communication will continue through district-approved platforms, including:

✅ Apptegy Rooms

To help protect students and staff, two-way communication through personal social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, X, and TikTok is not permitted.
