Upcoming Speech Project Due Dec. 8

Students need to access the Kansas Library Card system to locate at least five sources for a ten minute (minimum) persuasive speech. 

Students can model their speeches using the example on page 318 of their speech textbook that we analyzed on Monday, Dec. 1.

Students will be handing in an outline (formal outline), notecards with internal sources, and a MLA works cited page. Please note that topics must be preapproved by the teacher.

Students will be reading chapter 16, paying particular attention to pages 313-316 organization of persuasive speaking on questions of policy (Dec. 1-4).

Students will also have to decide on a visual aid (that emphasizes a point in the speech) to be used on the smartboard at school.
