Medal of Honor

Megan Meiwes and Amber Jewell with Medal of Honor recipient Chuck Hagemeister. In October, a program was held to teach students about character education. Medal of Honor recipients spoke to students about their stories and achievements to help them understand how to shape themselves as a person. Chuck Hagemeister was a Kansas recipient and taught students about Courage, Sacrifice, Patriotism, Citizenship, Integrity, and Commitment.

SCCHS Spirit Week

September 11th-14th was Homecoming Spirit Week for the Southern Coffey County High School, in which students dressed up to show off their school spirit. Picture 1: Students rocked their favorite super heroes on Marvel Monday Picture 2: Formal was the word on Tidy-Up Tuesday Picture 3: Students dug up the past with Way Back Wednesday Picture 4: It was all out blue and gold on Thunderbolt Thursday

College & Career Fair

The 4th Annual College and Career Fair was held on September 6th, 2017 in the LeRoy community building. Colleges and corporations such as Flint Hills Tech, K-State, Washburn, and the U.S. Army/National Guard presented to students about possible future careers. Over $1000 in donated scholarships were also awarded to students during the event.
Braelyn Falls and Jett & Haven Harvey speak with an Allen County Community College representative about what the college offers for career fields.                              Braelyn Falls and Taylor Loveall help serve cookies and drinks to students at the College and Career Fair. The refreshments were given out by the Titan Tough Leadership Group.
Reed Szambecki, Makayli Walters, and Dalton Ruckman listen to a Baker University representative talking about their plans and ideas about what careers they want to go into.
