Board Approves Early Release for Students

Last Day of School is May 14

USD 245 approved an early release for students.  The last day of school for all students will be May 14 at 4:00, except for seniors who will be released after practice on May 13.  Students will not return to school until August 2015.

The early release is part of an effort to save financial resources during a time of budgetary uncertainty.  Releasing students one week early will save the district almost $7,000 in transportation expenses with additional savings in food service and utilities.  This money may be used to purchase instructional supplies for next school year or to carry-over and reduce budget constraints in 2015-2016.
